Wildlife

As a reminder, please do not feed the wildlife in our community, including ducks, other birds, wild boars, and alligators. Feeding animals can make them lose their natural fear of people, which increases the risk of aggressive behavior and creates safety concerns for everyone. It can also harm the animals by disrupting their natural diet. For the safety of both residents and wildlife, please admire from a distance.

Child Safety

As the weather warms up and more kids are spending time outdoors, please take extra caution when driving through the community. Also take a moment to remind children about staying safe while riding bikes or playing near or in the street. Encourage the use of helmets, looking both, and staying aware of cars at all times. A little extra attention can go a long way in keeping everyone in our community safe.

Yard Sale Update

The community will be hosting a yard sale May 16th & 17th. The yard sale is open to the public and a sign will be placed at the community entrances advertising the event. This is a great time to clean out your closets and garages. A separate notice with more detail will be provided to the community soon. There will be an additional yard sale for the Fall season October 17th & 18th.

Wall Repairs Complete

The front wall repair project, which began in November. is now complete. This project repaired over 1000 feet of the top section of our wall, which was needed due to poor construction practices during the initial build. The project cost over $90,000 and took about three months to complete. The repairs are expected to extend the life of the wall by 15 to 20 years.

New Landscaping Policy and Improvement Projects

The Board recently approved a new landscaping & tree policy, effective May 1st. The new policy provides updated guidance on tree removal, driveway expansions, and other common requests, giving homeowners more flexibility while preserving the appearance of the community. You can find the updated policy on the Bono Management portal, or our website.

The Board has been working to improve the community “curb appeal’. Projects include replacing our front entrance landscaping, installing new shrubs on the community islands, and also looking at lighting improvements for the front entrances. Please check our website regularly for updates!

Spring Cleaning

Spring is a wonderful time to refresh and revitalize your home after the long winter months. Consider whether your home's exterior requires cleaning or repainting. A fresh coat of paint or a thorough cleaning can do wonders to restore its charm. Your lawn also deserves a spring makeover. Check if it needs weed treatment or pulling and consider planting new bushes or flowers to add vibrancy. Edging the driveway can create a neat, polished look that enhances your home's overall aesthetic. Speaking of driveways and sidewalks at your lot, ensure yours is free from dirt and grime. A clean driveway and sidewalk not only looks appealing but also contributes to your home's overall cleanliness. Don't forget to examine your entrance steps. If they are slippery, a good cleaning can make them safe and welcoming. Additionally, take a look at the sides of your home. Clearing out clutter stored on the exterior of your home can create a more organized and tidy lot. By addressing these areas, one at a time, you'll not only enhance your home's exterior but also enjoy the satisfaction of a beautifully refreshed living environment.

If your maintenance includes adding or replacing trees & bushes or making exterior modifications to your home, Please be sure to review the ARB and tree policies located on https://sterlingmeadows32771.com under Resources.
